BERG Continues To Support Those In Need

The BERG scheme, designed to help residents and business access flood resilience grants, is proving very successful, with the Adler & Allan team now delivering grants to those directly in need.

With 400 flood grant applications currently underway and 1000 people spoken to in Cumbria, news of this success is spreading fast among communities impacted by, or at risk of flooding.

With BERG static units open for business in Kendal, Lancaster and Cockermouth since early 2016, the addition of Adler & Allan’s mobile unit has proven invaluable in allowing us to both support local communities in recovering from the floods, and offer much needed advice on flood grant applications.

In keeping with our commitment to providing flood affected residents with the advice and support they need, we’re delighted to reveal our plans to add another mobile unit and open two shop fronts, one based in Kendal and another in Keswick. This will provide us with further capacity to share provide wider communities with crucial flood support.

Following discussions with Carlisle City Council, who asked for our help to assist local residents and businesses applying for government flood grants, we are also excited to reveal that we are working from the council’s offices to do just that.
